In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I made Paul Hollywood's recipe for Irish Soda Bread. It pretty much just tastes like flour. I don't plan to make it again. Although it was very easy, and only takes 45 minutes, start to finish.
I also made corned beef in the Instant Pot. We were out for the afternoon, so I used a delay start, then cooked for 90 minutes, natural release. I used the spice packet included and used 4 cups of beef broth with it (meat on trivet). I wasn't ready until about an hour after it finished cooking. Then I took the meat out and put in potatoes and baby carrots. I cooked those for 5 minutes, and it was too long - they were over done. Then I took the veggies out, turned on the saute, and made the broth into gravy by adding flouring and whisking until it was thickened. I did have clumps of flour that I had to strain out. But it was all delicious! Kids ate it up!
